石川県輪島は2年前、震災、洪水に見舞われましたが、どんな時でも好きなモノ創りを止めていない創り手達が伝統と現代の感覚を融合した作品をご紹介します。

“A Fresh Start from Wajima”

Two years ago, Wajima in Ishikawa Prefecture was struck by a devastating earthquake and subsequent flooding. This exhibition brings together works by artisans who, despite these challenges, have continued to pursue their craft with unwavering dedication. Rooted in tradition yet infused with a contemporary sensibility, their creations stand as a powerful testament to resilience and enduring creativity.

平素は輪島キリモトをご愛顧いただき、誠にありがとうございます。
早いもので2月になり、暦の上ではもう春ですね。

震災・豪雨被害より2年が経過いたしました。
たくさんの方々に心をお寄せいただき、本当にありがたく思っております。
心から感謝申し上げます。

昨年に続きまして、日本橋三越本店・クリエーターズテーブルのイベントスペースにて企画展を行うことになりました。
今回は災害時に救出されたお膳を家具に応用した新作などにも挑戦しました。
暮らしに寄り添う漆の力で皆さまの生活をより豊かにすることで感謝の気持ちをお伝えできましたら幸いです。
会期中は、桐本泰一が在店しております。都合により不在の時間帯もございますので、予めご了承ください。

Thank you for your continued patronage of Wajima Kirimoto.
It’s already February, and spring is almost here.
Two years have passed since the Noto Peninsula Earthquake and subsequent heavy rains.

We are truly grateful for the thoughtful support we have received from so many people both in Japan and abroad.
We offer our heartfelt gratitude.

Following on from last year, we will be holding a special exhibition in the event space at Creator’s Table in Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store.
This time, we are also experimenting with new pieces, such as furniture made from trays rescued during disasters.
We hope to convey our gratitude by enriching your lives with the power of urushi lacquer, which is an intimate part of everyday life.
Taiichi Kirimoto will be at the venue during the exhibition. Please note that there may be times when he is absent due to his schedule.
