輪島キリモト・日本橋三越本店　 いつものうるし 〜暮らしをより豊かに 寄り添う漆〜

平素は輪島キリモトをご愛顧いただき、誠にありがとうございます。
早いもので2月になり、暦の上ではもう春ですね。

震災・豪雨被害より2年が経過いたしました。
たくさんの方々に心をお寄せいただき、本当にありがたく思っております。
心から感謝申し上げます。

昨年に続きまして、日本橋三越本店・クリエーターズテーブルのイベントスペースにて企画展を行うことになりました。
今回は災害時に救出されたお膳を家具に応用した新作などにも挑戦しました。
暮らしに寄り添う漆の力で皆さまの生活をより豊かにすることで感謝の気持ちをお伝えできましたら幸いです。
会期中は、桐本泰一が在店しております。都合により不在の時間帯もございますので、予めご了承ください。

Thank you for your continued patronage of Wajima Kirimoto.
It’s already February, and spring is almost here.
Two years have passed since the Noto Peninsula Earthquake and subsequent heavy rains.

We are truly grateful for the thoughtful support we have received from so many people both in Japan and abroad.
We offer our heartfelt gratitude.

Following on from last year, we will be holding a special exhibition in the event space at Creator’s Table in Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store.
This time, we are also experimenting with new pieces, such as furniture made from trays rescued during disasters.
We hope to convey our gratitude by enriching your lives with the power of urushi lacquer, which is an intimate part of everyday life.
Taiichi Kirimoto will be at the venue during the exhibition. Please note that there may be times when he is absent due to his schedule.

昨年は元旦の震災、9月の豪雨と災害が重なり試練の年となりましたが、輪島キリモトが日本橋三越に出店し、20周年を迎えることができました。
大変な状況には変わりませんが、前を向いて少しずつ歩みを進めております。
今の輪島キリモトをご高覧いただけますと幸いです。
会期中は、桐本泰一が全日在店しております。都合により不在の時間帯もあるかもしません。予めご了承ください。

Although the year 2024 has been a year of hardship with the Noto Peninsula earthquake on New Year’s Day and the Noto Peninsula torrential rains in September, we were able to celebrate a major milestone, the 20th anniversary of Wajima Kirimoto’s opening in the Nihombashi Mitsukoshi department store in the fall of 2024.
The situation is still very difficult, however we are trying to make positive steps forward little by little.
We hope you can see the current state of Wajima Kirimoto through this exhibition.
Although Taiichi Kirimoto will be in the store all day during the exhibition, he may not be available during certain times.
We appreciate your understanding in advance.

丸20年となりました。
その当時、新しいスペースを担当されていた三越・田中智子さんよりお声かけていただきました。
多くの方々に相談しながら、四日目に上京して出店を決断しました！
20年もの間、地方の零細工房がたくさんのお客様と直接お話しをさせていただいたことは何ものにも代え難い力を与えてくれました。
開店当初からの日報報告には、個人情報に気を付けながら、購入されたお客さまのこと、購入に至らなかったお客様のことも記入してもらいました。
お客様からのご意見を元にしながら、いろいろなモノづくりにも挑戦しています。
お客様からの声は多くのヒントが満載です。

これからも
いつもの暮らしにいつもの漆
使うことで気持ちよくなる
使うことでホッとする

そんなモノづくりを続けて参ります

October 7, 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of Wajima Kirimoto’s opening in the Nihombashi Mitsukoshi store.

We were approached by Ms. Tomoko Tanaka of Mitsukoshi, who was in charge of developing a new sales floor at that time.

After consulting with many people, I came to Tokyo on the fourth day after being approached and made the decision to open the store.

For 20 years, the opportunity for a small local workshop to talk directly with so many customers has given us an irreplaceable power.

In our daily reports since the opening of the store, we asked customers to fill in information about customers who made purchases and those who did not, while being careful not to give out personal information.

We are also challenging ourselves to create various products while using customer feedback as a basis.

Customer feedback is full of many hints.

We will continue to produce Urushi lacquerware that is a part of your daily life, that makes you feel good by using it, and that gives you a sense of relief when you use it. We will continue to make such products.

ー輪島キリモトー 「木とうるしのちから」 Wajima Kirimoto “The Forces of Wood and Urushi”

2024年1月1日に発生した能登半島地震の影響が大きい中、延期も検討しましたが、日本橋三越さんから温かいお声かけをいただき、展示内容を変更し、この時期だからこそ開催することにいたしました。
震災を乗り越えて無事だった常設コーナーに出ていない商品を中心にご紹介いたします。
代表の桐本泰一、職人の在店は中止となりましたので予めご了承ください。
輪島キリモトの東京スタッフがご説明いたします。
たくさんの職人の手を繋いで創られた漆器、ぜひお手に取ってご覧くださいませ。
みなさまのご来店お待ちしております。

We considered postponing the exhibition due to the severe impact of the Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred on the 1st of January, 2024, however with the warm encouragement of Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi, we decided to change the content of the exhibition and hold it this time.

We will introduce mainly products that have survived the earthquake and have not been displayed in the permanent section.

Please note that the presence of our representative, Taiichi Kirimoto, and artisans at the store has been cancelled.
Wajima Kirimoto’s Tokyo staff will be there to explain the products.

Please come and take a look at the Urushi lacquerware created by the hands of many craftsmen in Wajima.
We look forward to seeing you at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi.
